THOSE WHO KNOW THEIR GOD

TEXT: Daniel 11:32

PREACHER: Pastor Bodunrin Timothy

Daniel 11:32

32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

The life we live in the kingdom is called the Zoe life. This is the life we got through Jesus (John 3:16)

John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God designed the kingdom system in such a way that the Zoe life we have received finds expression in divine knowledge.

Different believers move and have encounters at different levels and degrees. The factor responsible for this is the degree at which they know God

You cannot walk in the flesh and claim to know God. God is a spirit, and he has deposited His spirit within us for easy communication (Romans 8:1)

Romans 8:1

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:8 reveals that those that walk in the flesh are not the children of God. Sons and daughters of God understand that the medium of communication with the father is through the spirit (Mathew 28:20)

Romans 8:8

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Mathew 28:20

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

REWARDS FOR KNOWING GOD

They shall be strong: The knowledge of whom God is will keep you focused and steady in the midst of trials and challenges.

Shadrach, Messhach, and Abednego stood firm in the knowledge of the God of heaven (Daniel 3:17)

Daniel 3:17

17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

Job remained strong in the knowledge of God (Job 1:20-21, 2:9-10, Jeremiah 9:23-24)

Job 1:20-21,

20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,

21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
