TEXT: Act 2:24
PREACHER: Pastor Bodunrin Timothy
Act 2:24
Jesus birth brought great joy to the to the world (Luke 2:10-11)
His death brought great sorrow. The disciples wept at his death and burial. All hope seems lost until God gave Jesus a rebirth.
The resurrection is the true foundation of true joy.
Act 2:24 is part of Peter’s teaching on the day of Pentecost where he presents evidence for Jesus divinity and resurrection. He highlighted how God’s power and authority raised Jesus.
WHAT IS THE JOY OF JESUS’ RESURRECTION?
Newness of Life (Roman 6:4): There is no Christianity without the resurrection. Christianity only begins from resurrection, not the cross. it is the resurrection of Jesus that ushers us into the eternal life. (1cor 15:12)
Free from Condemnation (Roman 4: 24-25, 5:1, 8:33) Resurrection frees you from condemnation. So Satan cannot lay a charge against you because Jesus has placed a seal of justification.
Restoration of Dominion (Genesis 1:28, Luke 4:6)
God gave man dominion in Gen 1:28 before he lost it to Satan. Jesus came and recovered all and made a public proclamation about it (Mathew 28:18)
Restoration of Health (Roman 8:11)
Inside His resurrection lies the quickening power that revitalizes our bodies.
Resurrection Gives Divine Direction (John 21: 5-6, Isaiah 50:4, 48:17)
Resurrection Empower You for Manifestation (Romans 8: 19-21, Luke 10:19)
