COME AND SEE

TEXT: John 1:46

PREACHER: Pastor Bodunrin Timothy

John 1:46

46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

In John 1:46, we read, “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked. “Come and see,” said Philip.

This exchange between Nathanael and Philip is a powerful invitation to witness God’s work firsthand.

When Nathanael doubts that anything good could come from Nazareth, Philip doesn’t try to argue or explain. Instead, he simply invites Nathanael to come and see for himself.

Sometimes, words alone can’t convey the fullness of what God is doing in our lives or in the world. We are called to bring others along to experience His work, His love, and His power directly.

It’s also a reminder that God’s work might appear in the least likely places and through the least expected people. Just as Jesus came from Nazareth—a town many disregarded—God’s presence can be found even in places or circumstances we might overlook. John 7:41-41,52
