TEXT: Psalm 32:8

PREACHER: Pastor Bodunrin Timothy

Psalm 32:8

8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Grace is the unmerited favour of God. Titus 2:11 reveals that we received salvation not by works but by grace. Ephesians 2:9.

Titus 2:11

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Ephesians 2:9

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Grace as a function of divine selection as evident in the life of Abraham who came from an idolateral family (Joshua 24:2)

Joshua 24:2

2 And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods.

Grace is a function of revelational knowledge as evident in the life of Daniel (Daniel 9:2)

Daniel 9:2

2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

WHAT IS DIRECTION?

Direction refers to guidance or instruction on a course of action.

GRACE FOR DIRECTION

Grace for direction is the favour of God on man that enables him to see ahead of his contemporaries. (Gen 26:12-16).

Gen 26:12-16

12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.

13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:

14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

15 For all the wells which his father’s servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth.

16 And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we.

For God’s divine direction to be available to you, you must develop absolute trust in God’s sovereignty and desire His divine direction in all your endeavors as evident in the life of David (2 Samuel 5:19).
