TEXT: Philippians 2:9-11
PREACHER: Pastor Bodunrin Timothy
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Jesus reigns supreme, and His name carries power, salvation and authority over all things.
Our opening scripture states expressively how God the father recognized and honoured Jesus by giving Him a name that is above every other name.
Ephesians 1:20-21 also established that God placed Jesus after He raised Him from the dead above everything that has name.
Ephesians 1:20-21
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
When you have Jesus, you have everything. Why? Because the father put the name of Jesus as a stamp on all His creation. (Col 1:15-16).
Col 1:15-16
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
So, use His name today with all boldness and audacity as evident in the life of Peter. (Act 3:6-7)
Act 3:6-7
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
