There are openings that go beyond normal doors; they are called Gates.
There can be different categories of gate-openings, depending on who is opening them.
Examples:
Joseph – Opened by a President (Pharaoh). Genesis 41:40
Saul & David – Opened by a Prophet (Samuel). 1 Samuel 10:1; 16:1
Abraham – Opened by the King of Kings Himself. Genesis 12:1–2
Samuel – Opened by Prophet Eli of Shiloh. 1 Samuel 3:8–11
Joseph & Mary – Opened by Angel Gabriel. Luke 1:26
Peter – Opened by an angel of God. Acts 12:7–10
Mephibosheth – Opened by King David. 2 Samuel 9:7
CATEGORIES OF GATE OPENERS
A. God – Jeremiah 32:27
B. Angels – Hebrews 2:7
C. Presidents / Kings / Leaders – Isaiah 60:16
D. People – 1 Chronicles 12:22
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE A GATE-OPENING CANDIDATE?
i. Absolute dependence on God
Example: Obed-Edom – 2 Samuel 6:11
ii. A life devoted to God
Example: Cornelius – Acts 10:1, 5–6
iii. A life of prayer, worship, and sacrifice
Example: Abraham – Genesis 24:1
PRAYER/DECLARATION
In this season, may the gates that advance the Kingdom of God be opened to you—just as they opened for Peter, Abraham, and Joseph—as we cross over into December 2025, in Jesus’ name. Jeremiah 30:19.
