TEXT: Isaiah 43:7, 21
PREACHER: Pastor Bodunrin Timothy
ISAIAH 43:7, 21
Everyone who is called by My name—whom I have created for My glory, whom I have formed, yes, whom I have made.
21 This people I have formed for Myself; they shall show forth My praise.
“Glory is the radiance of God’s holiness.”
— Isaiah 6:3
“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.”
When the radiance of God’s holiness goes public, it becomes the display of the unending worth and beauty of God.
GENESIS 1:3–4
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
The Spirit of God is the One who makes the glory of God visible and tangible. Without the Spirit, the glory remains unseen and unfelt.
HOW DO I LIVE FOR GOD’S GLORY
1. Tap into the knowledge of the Word of God (2 Peter 1:3)
2PETER 1:3
According as His divine power has given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who has called us to glory and virtue.
2. Walk in righteousness and holiness (Matthew 5:16)
MATTHEW 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
3. Live by the Spirit, not the flesh (Galatians 5:16; 2 Corinthians 3:18)
GALATIANS 5:16
This I say then: walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
2CORINTHIANS 3:18
But we all, with unveiled faces, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even by the Spirit of the Lord.
4. Bear good fruit (John 15:8; Matthew 28:19–20)
JOHN 15:8
Herein is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be My disciples.
5. Give thanks and praise continually (Psalm 50:23)
PSALM 50:23
Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and to him who orders his conduct aright, I will show the salvation of God.
