ARE YOU NUMBERED AMONG THE SAVED?

TEXT: Matthew 22:14

PREACHER: Pastor Bodunrin Timothy

In a world filled with religious activity, church attendance, and spiritual talk, Jesus’ words in Matthew 22:14 are sobering: “Many are called, but few are chosen.”

Who are the Called?
People Invited by the gospel. (Isaiah 55:1)

WHO ARE THE CHOSEN?
1. People Accepted by God and Destined for Eternal Life.
2. Those who Respond in True Repentance and Faith.
3. Those Who are Clothed with Christ’s Righteousness (Gal. 3:27).
4. Those Whose Names are Written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Rev. 20:15).

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SAVED
1. Faith in Jesus Christ Alone (John 3:16; Ephesians 2: 8-9)
2. A New Life Evident in Holiness (2 Corinthians 5:17)
3. Endurance and Fruitfulness (Matthew 7:20; John 15:5)
True believers bear spiritual fruit.
They continue in faith, even amid trials.
4. Clothed with the Wedding Garment – Righteousness of Christ, Not self-righteousness, but imputed righteousness (Romans 3:22).
5. Focused on Eternal Reward. (Matthew 6:19-21, 1 John 2:15) Earthly rewards are temporary, but living for God has lasting reward.
