At creation, God never made provision for healing simply because He designed man for perfect health.
Sickness came into the world as a result of sin. [Romans 5:12]
Sickness came immediately man sinned. It is an affliction that came from Satan and a slave can only be inflicted by the master. [Romans 6:16]
This was the case of the people of Judah.
They were sold out to sin and refused to turn a new leaf despite God’s warning of the approaching judgment.
Prophet Jeremiah cried in despair: “Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there?”
Balm was a healing ointment gotten from plants that grew in Gilead known for their medicinal properties.
Physician refers to God who could heal the nation Spiritually – The Lord Jesus Himself.
Sickness is the oppression from Satan.
Thank God we have provision in Christ, who restores us to our original position of total health [Acts 10:38]
Christ bought us back to enjoy what Adam lost.
Jesus has destroyed sin but man has a part to play.
WHAT TO DO TO STAY HEALTHY
1️⃣ Get Understanding [Proverbs 16:22]
Understanding is the access code you need to enjoy your Inheritance in Christ.
The greatest hindrance to divine health is understanding.
[John 6:63] Spiritual understanding differs from intellectual understanding. God’s Word is a spiritual message to the spirit of man.
2️⃣ Covenant Practice
– Soul Winning: reconciling people back to God (2 Corinthians 5:20a) Diligence in carrying out God-given assignment result in health vice versa.
– Tithing: 10% of all your increase (Malachi 3: 8-11)
3️⃣ Communion Wine and Bread [John 6:54]
It is the quickening meal that Infuses the very life of Christ into your body.
