Jeremiah 31:34

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

INTRODUCTION

Our Encounter and Belief in Christ initiates our knowledge of him by accepting who he is, you begin to see a God who cares for you, a God who loves you, and a God who wants what is best for you. You know this by the simple change by his covenant of right living in your life, but now the journey begins for greater intimacy.

Our God is a personal God who created us for Himself and is longing for an intimate relationship with us.

He wants us to live In a sincere love relationship with Him (Matthew 22:37-38).

Matthew 22:37-38

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

We need to spend time alone with Him, enjoy fellowship with Him, communicate with Him, trust Him, and follow Him daily.

Walking in a close relationship with God gives meaning and purpose to our lives. We often allow the busyness of ministry and life to replace a real, personal walk with God. But our primary calling is for an intimate walk with Him.

Our top priority in life and ministry should be to;

Developing Intimacy with God

We must desire a deeper and closer relationship with God (Psalm 63:1-8)?

Psalm 63:1-8

63 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
