What Is a Blood-Washed Mind?
Definition:
A blood-washed mind is a mind that has been:
i Cleansed from guilt and sin
ii Renewed to think like Christ
iii Empowered to resist temptation
The Mind Before the Blood (Eph. 2:1–3)
Paul describes how we were:
—Dead in sin
—Following the world’s ways
—Driven by fleshly desires
—Far from God
What the Blood of Jesus Does to the Mind
✔️ The blood reconciles us to God(Ephesians 2:13 )
✔️ The blood removes guilt (Hebrew 9:14 ESV)
✔️ The blood renews our thinking (Romans 12:2)
✔️ The blood restores our identity
Signs of a Blood-Washed Mind
A blood-washed mind:
1. Thinks holy – Philippians 4:8
2. Forgives quickly – Colossians 3:13
3. Speaks life – Ephesians 4:29
4. Rejects evil thoughts – 2 Corinthians 10:5
5. Knows its worth – You are not a mistake!
How to Keep Your Mind Washed Daily
1. Confess and Repent – 1 John 1:9
2. Plead the Blood of Jesus – Revelation 12:11
3. Read and Meditate on Scripture – Psalm 119:11
4. Guard What You Watch and Listen To – Proverbs 4:23
