THE LIFE OF POWER IN THE SUPERNATURAL

TEXT: ACT 1:8

PREACHER: Pastor Bodunrin Timothy

In the dispensation of the father, he relates directly with the people, most especially His prophet (Exodus 33:11). During the dispensation of God the Son (Jesus Christ), God Himself was present with us while we enjoyed the physical manifestation of the power of God. His disciples were lazing around, depending on the physical availability of Jesus.

Jesus, at the tail end of his ministry, instructed them to remain in Jerusalem until he sends the Holy Spirit (Act 1:4)

John 16:7

Obedience is a major key to living a life of power in the supernatural.

Adam lived a life of power until he disobeyed.

Saul’s disobedience denied him further access to the life of the supernatural.

Samson lost his access to the life of the supernatural due to disobedience.

Biblical characters that lived a life of power through obedience:

Moses at the Red Sea

Joshua at Gibeon (Joshua 10:12-14)

Gideon destroys the family altar (Judges 6:27-29)

PRIMARY FUNCTION OF THE HOLY GHOST

To be a witness. He empowers us to be witness.

OPERATIONS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

He transforms us (2 Cor 3:18)

He directs us to ready souls (Act 8:26-40 , Act 10:19-22)

He gives supernatural utterance ( Mathew 10:20)

He is the gateway to revelation (John 14:26)
